Managing Certification Holders
"So how do I tell the system that my van needs to be signed-off by the company?"
Holders are the system entities that are recognised by. and associated with, the certification.
Important: In this example, the certification recognises Organisations, so the holders would consist of any Organisations that need to have an “Annual Tap Safety Check” certified; or, in other words, be “holding” a valid “Annual Tap Safety Check” certificate.
To assign holders to a certification, from the dashboard select Certifications and choose the required certification.
Navigate to the Holders tab in the certification you wish to assign the organisation to and click the Manage Holders button:
Select which organisation(s) you’d like to assign as holder(s) and click the Next button:
At this point, you have the option to award a certificate, immediately, to all newly assigned holders.
*Note* If the certification is renewable, the certificate expiration date will have been automatically calculated and pre-populated.
If you do not wish to award a certificate immediately simply deselect the option. In this example, the certificate will be awarded manually so the option is unchecked.
The Save button is clicked to assign the holder without awarding a certificate:
You will now see a success message and the new holder(s) will be listed.
*Note* If you chose to immediately award the certificate, the status would already be valid and the certificate count would be 1.
The holder status will be invalid until a date has been applied to the certificate. A certificate is yet to be awarded:
To remove a holder from a certification, click the Remove option from the drop-down menu then click OK to confirm.
